Business Executives and Business Management Courses
Courses are flexible and can be conducted in Tlc centre or in your place of business, or both.
Courses can be ongoing, (2, 4 or 6 hours a week) or intensive morning, afternoon, evening or weekend.
All materials are specific to your business needs and revolve around the "spoken word".
A free needs analysis is carried out before course start to identify individual "Target Needs".
Workshops and simulations play a very important role in all Tlc Business Courses, and course members are encouraged to become actively involved in decision making and problem solving scenarios, both as individuals and as part of a team.
What is a Simulation?
A simulation is a preparation for a "real life" situation, and is open ended - there are no "right answers". The outcome depends entirely on the way you handle the situation. Unlike most role play activities, which last a short time, practice only a limited amount of language and only some of the skills you have - a simulation gives you the opportunity to use all your language skills within a complex activity based on authentic "real life" situations.
Valuable "feedback" on your personal performance and course progress and follow up group discussions, help Tlc to help you to achieve your communicative aims, as defined in your needs analysis.
As always, Tlc philosophy and methodology play an intricate part in course success, and one to one tutorials and feedback are important to the personal development of the individuals within the group. We video all simulations for group discussion and analysis.
Methodology
Tlc methodology concentrates on speaking and listening. Grammar and structure are also an important part of the course, but increased vocabulary and progress in your communication skills is our objective. Level controls are conducted at course start and course finish.

We also offer regular classes in:
- Pronunciation: to help you speak better and understand more easily, these courses provide specific, individualised practice in an area of English which many students find difficult.
- Conversation: lively, enjoyable classes with correction and guidance to improve your oral fluency.
- One-to-one and one to two classes: individual tuition available on request at special rates.
Executive Courses
English for Business, English for Tourism and General English are now available as intensive weekend courses!
Are you a busy executive? Would you like to spend an intensive weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) improving your English. Tlc now offer weekend workshops at all levels. We also provide Saturday and or Sunday morning workshops for those who cannot attend a full weekend intensive.
